What we did
Who?

eWill is the world’s first digital will-writing platform, which allows you to create a will in 30 minutes. The platform, which is overseen by an expert legal team, offers bank-grade security, a comprehensive view of the user’s estate and its value, and clear asset allocation to avoid any disputes. eWill is powered by award-winning startup AssetVault. AssetVault is a B2B service, which has introduced a brand new approach to financial wellness, revamping the way customers protect and manage their assets. We loved AssetVault’s innovative and thoughtful approach, which harnesses technological innovation to take the hassle out of challenging tasks and offer peace of mind. Needless to say we were totally on board.

Why?
As eWill was a brand new product, we started from scratch by firstly building out a brand identity, which needed to align with the AssetVault branding. While will-writing can be an emotionally sensitive topic, it is also a critical legal process that can be a bit daunting. For this reason, eWill needed a brand that was accessible, no-frills, honest and reassuring, so that the user would feel satisfied that they’re in safe hands. eWill also needed a website to explain the whys, the whats and the hows and point people in the direction of the application.
How?
We began with the brand identity, which we kept clean, stripped-back, formal, without being intimidating. For the branding, we created a simple colour palette of black, white, and shades of green. The colour green is known to invoke feelings of calmness, optimism and safety, which is exactly how eWill wanted its customers to feel when exploring the service. The brand identity also included the logo lockup, fonts, imagery, tone of voice, personality, brand values and positioning, which we translated into the website design.

In designing and building the website, we used familiar and calming videos on the landing page, gentle scroll animation, straightforward language and messaging, clear articulation of the process through use of iconography, and many more details that were thoughtfully designed with the end user in mind.
